I have never heard of not being able to drink it. As long as it is pasteurized, which is what most juices are at a store unless it's something like "fresh squeezed" or something and then it will say.
I drink cranberry juice all the time (the 100% kind, which is NOT sweet at all and is very bitter, but I actually like it now) for urinary tract infections and I've never been told not to when I've mentioned it to a doctor occasionally. It should be fine, but if you're at all concerned ask your doctor and if it's not pasteurized don't drink it.
