Hello!

I have been considering getting some drapes/canopy for the swinging crib we've just brought for baby, but I've heard good and bad things about them. Anyone got any advice on wether they are ok or if I should give them a miss?

Thanks :)

Personally I wouldn't use them - they're pretty... but they could reduce air circulation and they aren't overly functional.

I wouldn't use them. Baby can get tangled in them and suffocate depending on where they are placed, or if they fall down. I work in an agency that also does SIDS awareness. Baby should sleep on his/her back in a crib, bassinett, etc with ONLY a fitted sheet. No bumpers, no blankets, no pillows and no extra bedding. I know my baby is going to sleep in a pack n play then crib with just a fitted sheet, swaddled in a sleep sack.
