Crib Mattress Help?

I was needing some more opinions!

What brand of mattress do you have and where did you get it from? I am terrified of picking the wrong mattress!!

I've not got mine yet but do to space I'm getting a space saver cot, therefore I have to buy the mattress that goes with that cot, I'm buying from kiddicare and think they only have one that's that size. As long as it meets the safety requirements I'd say it's fine. We didn't spend a fortune on our daughters mattress, but it did her well and never had any problems

I did a lot of research on mattresses and didn't want to go broke (buying two) but didn't want a mattress that put my baby at risk for sids either just to save a couple bucks.
I ordered the *Safety 1st Heavenly Dreams White Crib Mattress from target...very impressed with it compared to the cheapo ones I bought first from Wal-Mart and it got great reviews and voted best for the money

One important thing about a mattress is making sure it fits your crib without extra space on the sides, so the best mattress will vary with the crib. I think we had a Serta (from BabiesRUs) for my son, but I no longer have it so we need to buy another. Besides the snug fit, I start by looking at the middle priced mattresses and then look for something firm.
