CSA question

well as you know csa have sorted out my claim, i recieved a letter this morning which states what he has to pay including backdated amounts. i was told it would be backdated to 5th november and that he would have to make first payment from 18th december. so from my calculations thats 6 weeks of backdated payments? but they are only counting 3 weeks do you get the full weekly payment when it is backdated? maybe i have missed something!

Im not sure, i didnt think they backdated anymore... ring up and check?

I was told they dont backdate, its only from the day FOB says yes he is the dad or it gets proved he is xxx

hey tinkabells, yeah they do backdate, my case was backdated to the date that they first sent out a letter to him, which was the 5th nov. If FOB request dna test, then it only gets backdated to the date that they are confirmed as the father. my ex never requested a DNA test.

Anyway i got a shock yesterday which i wrote on another post, my ex had a change of heart and has paid off the backdated amount in full and has agreed to pay child maintenence, he also sent an email asking if he could buy xmas presents in the post 'whats u going on in his brain?'

have you heard anything from CSA yet, make sure you keep phoning them and ask for an update

Least he didnt ask for dna, well woman on my end said they dont backdate at all now!!
But that as soon as he is said to be FOB then they will take payments from then

he sent an email asking to buy xmas presents, iv ignored it, but im half expecting a solicitors letter requesting access. don't know how id feel if he did. i am expecting contact of some sort from his family before xmas, one of his aunties has sent jake an xmas present today, which is nice of her. just have to wait and see
