of space and don't work
so does he still have to

unsure of the whole thing
can anyone help? Love

If he doesnt work they wont take much off his bennifit also they are useless my daughter is 8 her dad left when she was 10 months and i still havent receieved a penny from him they know where he lives whee he works they have done the dna test and still nothing

I`m not bothering getting anything off my ex. He`s not having nout do with her.

I aint got a clue about C.S.A hun. But good luck. x

If you're working then you can fill the form out online I believe. If you're on benefits then you have to do this via the job centre. However you don't get the full amount he gives you. For example when I was on benefits I declared that he gave me forty pounds a week, £30 was then taken off my income support. Of course this is fair as he should be paying rather than the state. However CSA do have a rep for being useless, even though they're supposed to be able to take it out of their wages.

Hiya i just wanted to ask, how do i go about contacting CSA to make babies dad pay?

Just ring up CSA they people ive spoken to have been really helpful albeit a little slow to get back to you. If he is on Benefits you wil get £5 a week providing he doesnt have any other children, then it will be spilt amongst them equally.

Its worth getting them on the case even if you dont get anything as it is all logged and when CSA gets taken over & the same laws apply here as in AUS, all them deadbeat mums & dads will be really in the doggy do-doo

5 pounds a week??? What?!

Yer because the amount of benefits you get are the minimum you need to live on. They are only allowed to take £5 a week this is then divided by how many children the NRP is paying child support for

How much do you get a week if they are working? Or is it different for everyone

if hes workin u get 15% of his wages! ether paid weekly or monthly! but as its all ready bn said if ur not workin includin mat leave and are gettin income support then u wont see the money coz it goes 2wards payin ur income support if tht makes sense lol!

well thts how it is here in scotland as i only found out last week!

Hi I used to work for CSA and trust me they are useless xx I did try but 1 person trying in that all placed doesnt make much difference Im afraid. My only advise it contact contact contact dont leave them alone x if they start messing you about ask for your file to be passed to complaints, ask your mp to send a letter that always works there is a website to ask your local mp dont know off top of my head what it is called but will try and find it for you they will send a letter for you and this generally works.
If he is on benefits he will only have to pay £5.00 per week split between his children. if he is working he will have to pay 15% for 1 child, 20% for 2 split between the two and 25% for 3 plus children again split between them.
If you are working you get it all, if you are on benefit you will get £10.00 extra on your benefits called child support premium, then all his money goes to the state (this is suppose to be going upto £20.00) obviosuly this is the maximum so if he is only paying £5.00 you get £5.00 but if he is paying £20.00 then you get £10.00.
It is all worked out weekly ie £5.00 per week etc then you can either have weekly or four weekly.
You can apply over the ohone or online. They no longer send forms out.
If he doesnt pay it does back up the date the calculate it from is the date the contact him so do make sure you apply as soon as poss. Ie you cant apply when your child is 6 months old and ask for the 6 months backpay.

I hope this answers all your questions if you need any further help let me know.
Also if they tell you your file as gone clerical ie being dealt with by Bolton demand it is sent back to your regional office as they are really really crap at bolton that is where I worked and left cause I coouldnt cope with the fact it doesnt work as it shoud.
Also if you phone up you are just in a call centre and they will tell you they cant transfer you to your caseworker. Demand to speak to a supervisor - you will have to demand as they wont just do it.

Do hope this all helps.

hi ive just recently contacted the csa i sent them an email through their website and asked them to ring me two days later they rang took my ex's details and said they would get back to me on what will happen next.

if my ex denys my baby is his he will have to take a dna test if he refuses this the csa will assum the baby is his and start taking money straight from his wage/bennefits if he takes the dna and it comes positive he will have to pay for the upkeep of my baby plus the 300 plus that it cost for the dna test so theres no getting away from it.

good luck chick hope this helps xxx
