Hi, I'm new to this site after hours of Internet searching. I've been given 1 in 5 risk after my NT screening and 1 in 2 from private clinic. Obviously I feel pretty devasted. However I know 80% chance of a healthy baby or at worst 50% are odds worth holding on for! I'm having CVS after another scan at UCH tomorrow. I'm so nervous I'm finding it hard to focus on anything... Except my googling of course!

I suppose I just need some positive feedback, I've prepared for worst but I really want to focus on hoping for the best. I feel my partner is beaten by the odds and I'm finding it hard being hopeful for the both of us.

For anyone who's interested my details at scans we're as such;

NHS scan 2.3 mm fold. 2 days later Private 2.8
Nhs hcg 5.3 Private 4.7
Papp- a 0.3. Private 0.34

Obviously it's my bloods really leading this plus fold at the high end from private scan. 166 bpm, Nasal bone present, heart normal but a small reverse a wave on ductus venosus if that's how you spell it! It then said these can all be normal variants! Maybe Im grasping at straws but I also feel healthy with normal preg symptoms, everything else normal with baby. Oh size was 63.5 mm which I think is ok. Urgh having babies is a stressful biz eh mums! X

Btw I'm 38 now 39 by due date. Test done at NHs 12w 5 and private 13w

Good luck with your scan. I hope you get good news from your CVS. I'm also 38, 39 in July. I remember a lady who got 1:5 risk back when I was pregnant with my first and she was lucky and her baby was perfectly fine.
:hugs: I can only imagine the worry you must be having right now.
