Darkening nipples!?

My DH noticed last night that the area around my nipples (the areola) have darkened to where it is very noticeable. It's on the outer edges and goes about 1/4 inch inward... My nipples are soooo tender that I can't stand touching them AT ALL.

Is this a sign!?

I'm at least 10 dpo (FF won't tell me when exactly I o'd for some reason...) and am on CD 37.

I took a test 2 days ago but it was negative. Then again it was a super cheap dollar store one.. that kind where you have to pee in a cup and use a dropper to add drops to the test. It also had a horizontal line through it...

So should I wait longer to test..?

I thought for certain that AF would show by the 22nd!

I noticed that too I'm 8 dpo if I were you id wait a few more days and test again its hard to wait but I have to I don't want to waste a test if af comes plus all my symptoms could be my hormones or stress induced or just coming because I so badly want it to be pregnancy. If you still get bfn there's always next cycle to try again!!! Good luck!!

That is a very good early pregnancy sign!!!! lol silly tidbit, later in pregnancy there are old wives tales to find the sex of the baby by the color of the aureola

No way? What is it? I'm not sure that I believe in old wives tales...but I can certainly humor them!

Your belly looks like a basketball
Your areolas have darkened considerably
You are carrying low
You are craving salty or sour foods
You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
Your hands are very dry
Your pillow faces north when you sleep
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your urine is bright yellow in color

Your urine is a dull yellow color
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side to side

LOL wow reading through these I can see how much they were right! I have had both a son and daughter, the food craving thing, weight placement, and a few others were right on! Now i feel like a silly silly dork for even giving these any credit lol and its even worse because the chinease predictor charts have worked for me and and almost everyone i know.
