Day 21 progesterone

Hi ladies...

Can anyone help?

I've got pcos but had my second child a year ago but am just trying to get my cycles back on track a bit as we would like to ttc a third at some point.

My cycles are usually long (35 days). Last month I had a day 21 progesterone blood test on day 21 of my cycle and hadn't ovulated. The doctor advised to do it this month a week later. So today (day 26) I had my blood test. Only now ive just been to the toilet (tmi) and I've got the early signs of my period starting!!! 😭

Will the blood test be able to detect if I've ovulated or not ? As my progesterone levels would have started to fall?

It should still be in your blood if u did o butni would talk to your doc about it as it would mean if you did o your lp is a bit short. Hope it gets sorted out

it is possible it will be off again if you are getting your period early. I would suggest temping next cycle. If you aren't ovulating it won't show a definitive spike. If it does show a shift then go and get your progesterone done 7 days after O.
