dd has strep

Poor baby just got back from er, shes so sick... What's the likely hood i can get it?? Ive had a sore throat for two weeks but she just now got sick, should i worry

I had strep not too long ago it's not major. It is something that is highly contagious so I would keep a look out for it so you can get it treated as soon as possible. The biggest issue for me when I had it was getting enough fluids.

If you have had a sore throat for weeks, it sounds likely that she caught it from you and it hit her harder.

Practice good hygiene, don't touch your eyes/nose/mouth or food before washing hands, use disinfected on any surfaces you and your daughter touch (doorknobs, light switches, tables).

I get strep two to three times a year so I had it twice when pregnant with ds. As pp said, it isn't that big of a deal. You can take the antibiotics to get rid of it without fear of hurting your baby. You don't need to worry, but you should get tested/treated.
