***December Christmas 2023 testing thread***

That sounds pretty awesome. I'm sorry your fertilised egg didn't make it though. I'm Christian so I really believe that when God wants a woman to get pregnant, even a lack of tubes won't be an issue for fertilisation and implantation. The waiting is hard though.
I most definitely agree with this. I know I will have my bfp soon.

@cheerios our bodies are amazing :) our tubes can swing around and pick up the egg from either side. It looks like a tapeworm from what I remember, they showed it to me when I was waking up in recovery after my emerg section lol

Thanks for sharing. It's truly mind-blowing when one thinks about what the body can do. It all points to an intelligent design of a creator God who made our bodies so wonderfully and fearfully!

@Fuchsia1412 I'm thinking of telling him tomorrow but I'm just thinking about a cute and nice way to tell him. I feel so nervous right now and still in disbelief but I have to let them know. I cant keep it a secret much longer. Congrats in finding out your having another little boy!!! Are your daughters excited? How about your son he will have a little brother now.

@mommabear6 how long do you think you'll wait before sharing?
I'm absolutely rubbish at waiting and keeping secrets even for a few days!
Nice to meet you on here too :) I'm almost 17 weeks now and found out yesterday we're having a boy. We have an eldest boy and then 4 girls!

17 weeks already, wow! That’s flown by. Congratulations on Team Boy. <3

This time last year I was 8 weeks, still can’t believe we made it. I was having private scans every two weeks to ease my anxiety.

Great news!!! Still in my doctor's office, IUI just done, we had 6 million sperm with 40% motility which is the best we've ever had!!! I'm so hopeful!

Sounds amazing!!! You're in the 2ww now!! I'm going to get my hub to check his sperms if I don't get pregnant this cycle. It's always been on his to-do list but he's not got it done yet.

Hope more of you are able to join me. I feel all alone waiting for August due date buddies sending everyone baby and sticky dust!!! Come on BFP:dust::bfp:

I'm so hoping to join you in a couple weeks!!! I'm rooting for my little eggies to get found and hold on tight!!!

How's everybody???
:hi:
I hope you're keeping up well and not letting TTCing get into you. I know how the desire to get pregnant especially over the festive period can be both exciting and stressful at the same time. What are some things you're doing this advent season??? And for which you are grateful for this year?? I find that looking back and reminiscing on the positive things helps me to look forward to a brand-new year.

I am thinking of getting a blood test before I schedule my first appointment. Is that crazy? I am just getting so nervous and somewhat in denial. I messaged my doctor since my doctor has to approve it first. Do you think they will be able to do a blood test if I ask or will they just want me to take a urine test?

Ahhh I really hope to join you too. I'm only around 3 DPO, so I've got a very long way to go to POAS. I don't POAS early either. Wanna save myself of the heartbreak of any chemicals. But it's great to have the first :bfp: of the group. So thanks for coming over!!

I think it's totally fine to do a blood test to get your beta checked. My gynae doesn't do that (I think). He just does a urine test and we wait till 8 weeks at least when he checked for sac and heartbeat. But the fertility specialist definitely does HCG blood tests.

My doctor message me back asking me why do I need one done. Omg that I can take a urine test. What should I say? Should I say I just want to check my HCG or what can I say?
