I am entitled to housing benefit. Me and my partner split up in November, I work on average about 15 hours a week. I have my lo with me full time. I claimed housing benefit as on the calculator it said I was entitled. I just had a letter back from the council saying I have been declined as I have not given them a signed declaration and haven't given them the evidence requested to make an estimation of my income... They've sent this on a Saturday and now I've got all weekend to stress about it because their offices aren't open til Monday.
My bank statements was supposed to be two months worth but I sent them just short of two months cuz that was all I could print and I gave them my jan, fen and April payslips and explained I couldn't find the march payslip. Would that have been what's made them decline? Plus a signed declaration, of course I signed it... Someone advise me? Can I claim again?
