What theme/style are you all doing this year?

I'm having the same Gold theme we have every year, same baubles and stuff but I'm hoping to buy a few bits and bob if I can afford them.

I want one of these

I'd like a little something christmassy for Evie's shelf too.

And I need a wreath for my front door.

:happydance:

Getting excited now. It's gonna be so fun, Caitlyn will love it!

We have the green tree and then all gold decorations. Just need to buy a few more bits, and maybe an ornament for the hall.

That Victorian tree decoration is lovely :) I'd be so scared of breaking it though at that price!

We had a wreath last year but it blew off and got mashed in the road so I don't think we'll be doing that this year

I usually just have my tree decorated in gold and nothing else, im not a huge fan of tons of stuff all over the place anyway so i like to keep it minimal.

This year though i have gotten a couple of hanging signs for the doors just to jazz the house up a little for Brooke :)

I'm kinda getting into nice things that I could keep for years to come. I'm thinking of buying something ornamental for my tree every year. So when I'm all old with me 50 cats I can show my grand children

I love doing different themes each year and usually get my decs in the sale after xmas or from Ikea as they are so cheap!

Last year was traditional red and gold. This year is baby themed with soft xmas toys hanging from the tree (i bought them from Homebase in January £4 each reduced to 10p!!) and i plan on making biscuits to decorate, it will be a very baby friendly Christmas tree i hope. I can't wait!!

Maybe people can post pictures of their decorated trees nearer the time....?

I wanted a new theme this year but pennies are low.

Hoping to get next years lot in the sale though... money permitting of course!! xx

I love taking Amelia round the garden centres to look at all the lights and toys, it would be soooo nice to have tons of money to spend. I saw some beautiful reindeer kind of wire framed with LED lights but they are WAY too much money!

Gonna keep dreaming. lol

I'm going for red and gold. My first Christmas with Bill and Kyla in our own place so im gonna make it the most beautiful i can afford too. Lol

Then in the sale in january i'm going to get all of next years xmas stuff..including presents :haha: x

Thats what i always try and do!! It just makes sense to me, i have even toyed with the idea of moving our family xmas until January and buy all the pressies in the sales....ooo i sound like such a scrooge!

I just hate paying £30 for something knowing in 5 days it will be less than £10!

I hatteee ceiling decorationss

lol my mum decorated her house from top to bottom you seriously couldn't move for bumping into something, even cotton wool on EVERY single surface as snow. Fortunately she doesn't do this any more, well the ceiling decorations anyway.

My mam does ceiling decorations... and leaves the pins in the ceiling for next year :dohh:

i want to do ceiling decorations but not too many.. would i be sad?! i want tinsle on the mirror and a big 6ft tree. we had a crap xmas last year so want to make it better this year =]

I want a new theme.....I went mad last year with tree decorations and i only have a 4ft tree!!! Im going to stick with silver and plain lights so if anyone wants my coloured lights, and red, gold and other colored stuff.....??? Free to anyone skint!! Or swapa for a few silver baubles???

I dont do decorations on cielings etc......but i have two ornamental things you put candles in and a reindeer thing that sits on the window sill!!

what theme?? I have loads you can have...... coloured lights and different colour baubles, red gold etc.....im going to keep the silver ones though as i just want plain silver this year.

I usually change every year (I have about 6 different coloured decs in the loft
But I am sticking to red this year, same as last.
More Shabby chic this time though, I have been making cushion covers and buying wicker decorations! :D

Just trying to figure out the best way to stop Daisy touching it all!

I got a ton of black & white & silver stuff last year as for a few years before that it had been really traditional red, green, and gold. I got a new 7ft tree too which is lovely :)

I'm really glad I bought it all last year as there isn't a chance I could justify it this year with the baby on its way!

I did just go and buy all the wrapping paper, ribbons and bows. I'm a bit OCD, the tree decorations have to match the presents underneath so the paper is silver and black (as are the ribbons and bows!) Yeah. I'm a control freak

haha my pressies under the tree have to match the decs too!!!!

I want a new tree this year, mine is a bit shit, and I would love a pre lit one!
