I took zofran in my first Tri because for morning sickness and by the time I was 9 weeks I first found out that zofran can cause cleft lip etc..

What do you think of the pics of my little bubby :flower:

Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns? Looks totally normal to me, but I'm not a medical professional. Was this a medical scan, or just a 3d scan?

No my morphology scan is in three weeks time will know for sure then. Thank you for commenting x

Also not a medical professional but looks pretty good to me!

I'm sure they would have mentioned it if they were concerned. I have taken zofran in two of my pregnancies due to severe hg that left me hospitalised for weeks and no cleft lips for my two.

Looks like a normal lip to me! I took Zofran with my son from day one to 34 weeks when I delivered. He is healthy and normal. And I started taking Zofran with this baby girl at 10 weeks, and she is also completely healthy and normal so far at my 19 week anatomy scan

I am not a medical professional but I can't see any indication of a cleft lip.

The allegations against Zofran have actually been proved untrue and is one of the safest anti-nausea medicines for pregnant women.

After the lawsuits against the manufacture last year, which was only 200 out of millions of women, OBs did initially dial back on Zofran but after extensive research most notably from the UCLA Department of Medicine who published their findings in the journal Reproductive Toxicology found that:

"Extensive research did not find an association between the drug and birth defects. Instead, it found evidence suggesting that women who took Zofran were less likely to have a miscarriage or a stillbirth.

In pregnant women, five heart defects and one cleft palate were reported among 952 infants whose mothers had extreme morning sickness and took Zofran. Eight heart defects and two cleft palates were reported among the 1,286 infants born to women who did not have extreme morning sickness and were not exposed to Zofran."

I know how scary it is to see warnings like that especially after but Zofran is proven quite safe. :hugs:
