I thought the other way round - I had a boy's name ready - then found out it was a girl - it took me a really long time to think of a girls name I liked, but then everyone was saying how much they didn't like it and (my aunty said it would be shortened to Morg) as her name will be Morgan. It would have been Sebastian for a boy. I wish I'd never told anyone my name idea because of their comments - I had to find something else to call her after everyone put me off the idea but (couldn't) then felt like I was just calling her something second best just so she has a name. Thankfully my son was called Dylan 7 years before he was born - weather he'd have been a boy or a girl. Hehehe.
I'm sure you'll have a girl and have no need to worry about it, but in case your LO turns out to be a boy - there's nothing wrong with calling him after your brother, otherwise you would probably know when he arrives his name when you see his little face.
Good luck.

Good luck.
