Hi ladies ,well as u all know I have just suffered my tenth loss,I have went thru every emotion possible and now I am just plain angry:growlmad:,I just want to know why my body is doing this to me,I am not feeling sorry for myself I just want answers ,:thumbup:I have carried four children full term and gave birth then suffered all my losses,I have been pregnant 14 times in the last 13 years so I can get pregnant,i have had every blood test and my womb examined and was told I had sticky blood syndrome even thou the test didn't cum back positive they treated me with it for this pregnancy and my darling baby still passed away,:cry::cry:I truly believe my body is attacking the pregnancy once I am pregnant ,:cry:as soon as I found out I was preg this time I took an awful rash all over my body,I took excema for the first time in my life and although it wud be funny if it wasn't so serious I started having really strong orgasms every other nite in my sleep,resulting in cramps for 24 hours ,I truly believe this was my bodies way of trying to expel the pregnancy,I also had extreme preg symptoms and really good hcg levels and an early preg test until my baby passed away,I have just heard of other ladies having theses problems and am interested to read a book called is your body baby friendly by Alan e beer,I am going to the hospital next week and am going to put this to my doctor so if anyone has any advice or even anything to add it wud be much appreciated,much love ,:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

big hugs :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I do hope they can do more extensive testing to see what the issue is. you obviously have no problem getting pregnant so that part works, unless the genetic make up of the embryo is not viable from the start.

have you considered going on medications to perhaps make the egg stronger and then they can monitor your lining etc before you get pregnant? just a thought or perhaps you have done that...I just seem to remember you trying naturally. or could they do an egg extraction like they do in ivf and see how the eggs perform...incase its the eggs?

if the embryo is fine then I wonder what else it could be....Ive always assumed most problems are from the egg.

Hi Desperado

I can't imagine the distress you must be feeling and how urgently you want answers. Obviously you have no difficulty in getting pregnant. What you say about the rashes and the orgasms in sleep is really really strange. It sounds like some kind of immune reaction. Do you suffer from many allergies? It might be worth getting yourself checked out for an auto-immune disorder like lupus (do you have any family history of lupus?)

I don't know as I'm not a medical doctor, but since you've successfully carried babies to term before I'm sure a doctor would be curious about what has changed for you since then. How long is it since you last gave birth? Have you had any significant illnesses, viruses, or taken any new medication since then?

Just wish I was in a position to offer some expert advice. Maybe some of the medics/nurses on here might be able to suggest something. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I wish I had some answers for you. I also know that I can get pregnant and just can't make a sticky bean. It gets so frustrating. I hope you can get some further testing done.

Is your doctor taking a diagnostic approach to this, or just assuming it is age-related?

Are you seeing a specialist?

Did your doctor mention PUPPS, Rh factor or Immunotherapy?

I was surprised at what I found after googling 'allergic to pregnancy'.

I am sorry you are going through this...:hugs:

Hi Sarah and thanks for replying ,any advice or suggestions really helps me,wud love to seek more specialist help but we really couldn't afford ivf or a fertility specialist and my gynae and docs will only do so much ,but I did take cyclogest for a while it's supposed to help the lining of the womb ,I didn't get any results from it and I am also considering taking supplements to improve the quality of my eggs ,that's why I posted this as I seriously think I will get more help from u guys than anyone else ,:hugs::hugs::hugs:

Desperado,

Sticky Blood Syndrome is apparently behind a lot of recurrent miscarriage - just found this link on the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/health/physical_health/conditions/hughessyndrome1.shtml

And since it's an auto-immune disorder it may well be involved in what you are going through. It might be wise to consult with an immunity specialist or an Ob Gyn who is specifically knowledgeable about auto immune system disorders.

There is also an interesting thread from on here about the link: https://www.babyandbump.com/miscarriage-support/14475-sticky-blood-syndrome.html

Hi suki :hugs::hugs: believe me u just offering one piece of advice could be enough for me to get my answers,so it's all really worth it,I do have hay fever and rheumatoid arthritis which I have developed in the last five years,my youngest is six ,and with the arthritis I don't take any medication but I believe it's my body also attacking itself so it cud be connected,thanks again,,:hugs::hugs:

My doctor is really lovely and will basically do wotever test I ask her,she is also really supportive but it takes like a month to get an apt with her so I want to go armed with as many questions as possible ,I was seeing a haematologist and then a gynaecologist ,but I am going to research everything I can,thank u Hun ,am going to write all your suggestions on my list and work my way through them ,thanks lovely for your continued support,:hugs::hugs:

Desperado,

I've heard a really healthy diet and specifically royal jelly for egg improvement - hey, it can't hurt, right? :)

But since you have RA and Hughes Syndrome it sounds like you are having a significant autoimmune issue. It might be really useful to explore the links between exaggerated immune response and miscarriage.

I really hope you get some answers soon :hugs::hugs::hugs:

I was told that my eggs may be too old and my husband sperm may be too old. I'm taking DHEA and Q10 but if the eggs are genenticly (sp) old then there is nothing that can be done except donor egg. They said that miscarriage will occur in the first trimester. I've not had my eggs tested yet but all the other stuff checked and will find out July 10th the results...

Despie- I used Clomid and am now taking Tamoxifen; I do OV on my own, but I am trying to get better eggs. The Clomid and I didn't get along too well, but this is my first Tamoxifen month and I didn't have any bad side effects on it.

O I hope the results are good Hun,let us know,are u 43?:hugs::hugs:How much dhea and q10 do u take?xxxxxxxxxx

I usually o too the same time every month,how much clomid and tamoxifen do u take,do they have to be prescribed by a doc?:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

I'm also reading "Is your body baby friendly". It's an interesting read, that's for sure!

Are there any reproductive immunologists in your area that you could go see? I know that they are very rare, but could probably be the most helpful to you. Although, I absolutely I hate to say this, and I'm saying this as nicely as possible. . . . . our bodies do have a time limit for how long we can carry pregnancies. The docs may be able to help with your clotting issues, but it might be down to the fact that the eggs just aren't viable anymore. :hugs:

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I can't imagine the sense of loss that you carry with you daily.

They both do need to be prescribed and neither one should really be taken without some sort of monitoring from your doctor, but I have read that docs will prescribe it and send you on your way sometimes.

I took 50mg of Clomid CD3-7; all of the physical side effects that I had were perfectly normal. I did end up with a residual follicle and had to take an all natural approach the next cycle.

This cycle I took 40mg of tamoxifen on CD3-7 and for the first time that I can remember, I actually noticed EWCM. I am not expecting a miracle and won't be surprised if we are talking about IUI/IVF in the next cycle or two. But, I feel like I am doing something at least.

Has your doctor not suggested any meds to you? :hugs:
