Dexter!

I only recently discovered Dexter. After hearing people go on about it for ages, I decided to give it a watch and I absolutely adore it. Thanks to Netflix I'm working my way through it and have just finished season 2 and will be starting on season 3 tonight.

Thats what I did too, watched it all on netflix and then the tv when the next ones came on. Whole season in a day ...ahem lol

forgot going to watch it soon though as I wasted time here in netflix! eeek! and now have to clean. I have it recorded.

Anyone watch the ending to Dexter? What did you think?

End not on till sunday here. We are a week behind as it was off one week there. So I am avoiding all spoilers even though I heard one spoiler. I can comment here on sunday.

The last episode is on in 1hr and 10 mins in the UK...
I do not want it to finish!!! I love Dexter. I can't imagine my life without him :(
xx

I agree it left way too many loose ends. I just don't see him abandoning his son and the only woman he apparently ever loved. I think him killing himself would have made more sense than just running off. Not to mention he just ditched Astor and Cody, sure they haven't been in the recent seasons much but still. I also just don't see him giving up the career he loves. Are we supposed to just be content that he's no longer a killer? Ugh it's so frustrating! Someone I work with is convinced he is still going to meet up with Hannah and Harrison.

*** SPOILER ALERT, do NOT read if you haven't seen the finale!!!***

(I don't know how to do a real spoiler, sorry :dohh:

It doesn't make sense to me, because:
1) That guy who was chasing Hannah is going to wake up on the bus and remember everything that happened. Everyone is going to be wondering where Dexter's child went since learning of his 'death,' and that guy is going to tell them that he saw Hannah running off with him. A big search for her would start in Argentina since she kidnapped a child and there's no proof that that was Dexter's will.
2) I don't see how working as a lumberjack cures him of his need, or is a conclusion to his life. Wont he miss his son terribly? How can he resist killing, and looking for his son one day?
3) I don't buy Hannah raising the little boy at all. She hadn't been around nearly long enough, and she made her debut into this season by drugging the Morgans. I think she cared about Harrison, but I don't see her sacrificing the freedom she had to raise him alone.
4) The whole police force was never informed of Deb officially dying, and all they're going to find is everything unplugged and her body gone. Thatll turn into a mystery, and again, a search..

Oh yeah and the whole deb thing! I get that things were crazy at the hospital with the hurricane coming but seriously there would be alarms going off if someone just comes along and disconnects all the life support! Not to mention carrying a dead body out to your boat with tons of people watching :dohh:

Poor Quinn, he went from probably getting back together with deb to having her just disappear into thin air?

The last episode made me angry! It just didn't seem to fit and left so many loose ends!

I cried and cried and cried :(
It was just so sad!
I'm not going to analyse it yet, coz I'm still too sad! :(

I cried at the whole debbie thing and them in the thunderstorm but I was angry too, it was a crap ending. I would have preferred he was lost in that storm than working as a lumberjack, that too me seems to leave it open to returning again? and you are all asking the same as me too, why why why to everything?

I dont know where the heck I read they got married deb and dexter. Not in real life like they where but at the end.

That was the worst finale to a series I have seen, everything you guys have already said, I can't believe such a brilliant programme dive bombed in its final hour !

It was like they didnt care or something at the end? like someone completely different wrote it and didnt watch the rest. I have not come across one person that liked it yet.
