Tonight DH and I did the bd and just out of curiosity I collected a sample of his sperm from inside me and put it on my fertile focus ovulation microscope, most people said they saw the sperm moving around, I saw nothing! Now I am getting worried that I have been thinking I was the problem! Anyone know why it could be that I saw nothing moving around??!

Thanks!!

Are you sure it was sperm you collected and not EWCM or other bodily fluids??

I would try it again but get him to ejaculate directly into a cup so you know youre looking at the right thing.

Actually, probably don't. If you're worried get him to go to the docs for a test, they are professionals and know what they are looking for.

Self diagnosing never works, best to get a professional opinion on these things x

Our doctor did DH's sperm analysis while we were in the room and he let us look at he microscope. Yes there were little swimmers moving everywhere.
I agree with redrachel it was probably your fluid you took.

I agree with the others, sperm can move pretty fast so the healthy swimmers might well have made it away before you managed to get them onto the glass :) Also the microscope in an ovulation one might not be strong enough to pick them up, although I have heard some people say they can see sperm on them.

Whatever fell out of you is going to be MOSTLY the fluid that the sperm need to get out of the penis. So the sperm content would be low. You need to look at it from sperm that goes directly into a cup.

I think it's more likely due to the fact that the zoom on your fertility microscope isn't strong enough. Sperm are tiny weeny, the zoom on the microscope to see sperm is really strong.
