Diabetics what was your hb1c?

What is a safe Hb1c to start trying at. I had one 3 months ago and it was 8.6 this time around it was 7.1. Been working really hard to control my sugars is 7.1 good enough and safe? xxxx thanks

In the UK the target hba1c is 6.1, mine before I got pregnant was 7.6 though and baby is doing well I've managed to get it down to 6.4 using insulin. I'm type 2 so I usually take met but switched to insulin when I got pregnant.

My doc informed me they would like to see me at 6 before I got pregnant. I am now at 6.17 so, pretty close.

I was 8.5 I think when I had my ectopic with diet and exercise I went to 5.2 clinically no longer diabetic and got my BFP, but I take met daily to help keep it under control, so far my little man is doing great 3 months ago it was 5.6 still good will get it checked again in Nov. bug I have a feeling it gone up :/

Mine was awful at 11% with my daughter who is now 27 months. I got it down an she was a healthy baby an now a healthy toddler. The guilt I felt through my pregnancy was so awful but it's coming down for you so that's good x

Mine was 5.4 this month (and around there for my pregnancy). I developed GD at 8 weeks that required insulin and went back to normal delivery day. I expect to need insulin again as soon as we conceive again. I would definitely have it under 7 before trying as high BS can cause MC.

My endocrinologist told me to aim for 7 or less for conception, and I got down to 6.2 but that was back in June. I had a miscarriage and lots of junk food in July so not sure how I was for the next few months then conceived again in September.

I'm off for a slightly overdue test today and I'll get results next week. I'm hoping for anything under 7 but low 6 would make me very happy. So much more to stress about than a non diabetic mum!
