Does anyone know the difference between the Diaper Genie I and the Diaper Genie II? I know, I know, they're horrible for the environment...and if I had it my way I'd be using cloth, but it doesn't seem to be working in my favour. My grandmother offered to get me one for my shower but I don't know the difference between the two?

Can I ask why you think cloth isn't working in your favour? :)

*googles Diaper Genie*

Ohhh those, I personally wouldn't waste my money on them...here the refills are costly! I just threw my nappies into a rubbish bin

They're not working because they're impossible to find in this province. Apparently the people of Newfoundland aren't entitled to use cloth diapers :hissy:

Its a sore subject haha

I had the same problem, I brought some online :)

Dont you have sears in newfoundland? You should just order them online... The cloth diapers I mean.

ya hun, I looked it up, there are 2 sears stores in Newfoundland. I found cloth diaper sets online at sears.ca... dont see why you cant get them.

There's a lot more if you are interested. :)

Thanks hun! There is one even in Ontario..

I hope that helps, for me BG's were the easiest to use... and a lot like a 'sposie...if you have any questions feel free to ask:) For a newborn I'd say get around 28 (sounds a lot) but you go through 8-12 a day, then you can wash every 1-2 days :)

I sold mine, I didn't think we'd have another baby

Thanks for the links girls.

The sears here doesn't have anything, its a piece of crap. The other one is 8 hours away so that is sort of out of the question.

I'll have a flick through the catolouge, we have one floating around here somewhere

Ohhh I am so getting that starter kit!! 3 different sites, the cheapest is by far the forbabywithlove.ca AND FREE SHIPPING!!!
