Did a test

I just did a First Response test today (my period is due on the 1st Jan) and I saw 1 bold pink line appear - negative, so I obviously felt v disappointed but carried on faffing about in the bathroom for a few mins. I went to the test and saw another very faint line. I don't know a lot about these tests, but i've read a few of you on here talking about evaporation lines, so I thought that may be the case.. but then I noticed on the instructions that you have to leave this brand of test for 3 mins for a result.

I don't want to get excited, but how can I not if it seems like a positive? is there any way this couldn't be right? as I thought it wasn't possible to get a false positive (unless a chemical preg etc?).
Don't want to get my hopes up too soon and im planning on doing my 2nd test on the 1st..

Oh and I won't post the test because it's so faint, I doubt it'd show in a pic.

Help:hissy:

All sounds very promising - can you do another and post the result :happydance:

My boyfriend thinks we should wait until my period is due, im not sure if I can wait that long though.. it's driving me mad already!

how long until you looked at the test again? was it outside of the 10min time frame? If i were you i would hold off getting too excited until you do another test. Good luck!!

Thats men for you!

Up to you sweets, if you can hold out until then, you should get a stronger line :cloud9:

It was literally 2 minutes until I looked at the test again.

well then it sounds promising! Do you have another test you could do?

Yes, I bought a pack of 2.. :o

I am worried to do another one, do you think it's worth waiting longer before doing it?

wait at least another couple of hrs, hold your pee. i'd have to poas if i knew there was a chance of a :bfp:

I will preface this advice by admitting to being a very impatient woman....but if I were you I'd try to not drink to many fluids for a couple hours, go to the store and buy a different brand of test, and then take it! Or, if you are more patient than me, do it tomorrow morning with your first morning pee. It sounds like the test is totally positive, but you'll feel twice as confident if you :test::test::test::test::test: again!!!!

I used this brand of test the last time I was pregnant, and the proof of it being correct is with me over 2 years later lol. Im sure the test is a pretty good one etc, but it's soo hard not to get your hopes up when you're not sure. I have another test waiting in my handbag..

Omg, im not gonna take 2 more days of this, plus im getting a lot of cramping.. so im worrying that my period is going to arrive - this is taking me right back to when I first found out I was pregnant with Bethanie, the pains.. the worrying.. ah!!!!!

Ahhh.....I didn't realize you already had another test in your posession! You are so much stronger than me.......I'd have peed on it already!! :hugs: and luck for a :bfp:

I only did the last one a few hours ago, I almost did it but JUST managed to resist.

i was conviced af was coming when i got my bfp the cramps are the same. so fingers crossed its the same for you.

It sounds very promising. If you can, I would wait - it is only two days and you don't want it to end in heartache if AF shows after all.
Best of luck!

OOOOHHHH Please test:happydance: If it was me i would be in the toilet now poas.:dohh:

I'm due to test on the 1st as well. I am having to hold back from peeing on every stick in the house! Good luck chickie - I am right there with you. Take care - enjoy the New Year....2009 is our year!
