I had a vbac with my daughter almost four months ago. No idea if this is normal or whether it is worth seeing a doctor.

Around 8 weeks pp we first tried to dtd. He barely touched me and had to stop. We have tried 5/6 times and although we get slightly further, still haven't managed to have sex.

I get a burning, stinging type of pain whenever we try and after a few seconds we have to give up.

I had stitches that seemed to heal quickly. I am guessing it is the scar tissue making it so uncomfortable. Anyone else find it this difficult? I have probably found recovery from this birth tougher than my emcs :(

I'm not sure hon.
I had stitches from episiotomy but have had no trouble
I think we waited 6 weeks ( it was 1 yr ago so not sure
But was fine
I'd get checked to be on the safe side xxx
Might just take u longer to heal?
I'd check in case of infection or something
Best of luck

14 weeks and we've still not tried. Too scared.

I had an episiotomy plus a labial tear the first time we dtd I found it painful in the position oh was wanting so we changed it up but I do find I need to be really wet in order for it to not be uncomfortable

I had a 4th degree tear (75 stitches) and found it really uncomfortable the first few times. I started having a bath before then used lube to try get used to it again. It worked after a few times and now we don't need to plan it lol xxx

Yes, this can be very normal unfortunately. After my first baby I thought my sex life was over as my husband could barely touch me too without pain. I only had a first degree tear but had scar tissue from where they sewed me up which made things feel very tight and sore!

Here's what I did (and it worked great!): Resign to the fact that sex won't be "fun" for the next couple months. When he enters make him go very, very slow. Like, just work at stretching the area and if that's all that feels comfortable then that's ok. For the longest time if my dh could just fully penetrate me and stay there for a bit without moving then that was a success. Also, use TONS of lube! This is very necessary so that things don't feel unbearable and let's face it, who can be turned on when things hurt?!

We continued to do this and over a couple months things started to improve. Six months later I felt a lot better and now I feel the way I did before I had a baby, hooray! So there's hope and your body will recover...just takes time and patience.

Its 6 weeks pp on thursday and im terrfied of trying lol...I had a 3rd degree tear...I believe its all healed up no complications but Im scared too even think about it maybe in a month of so...
