Did anyone have/not have GD with 2nd pregnancy?

I have a question, with my son i had GD diagnosed at 34 weeks, though i had actually had it since 19 weeks, i am wondering for those who had GD with one pregnancy, did you get it with your next?
It was shock finding out about it as i had no risk factors, was a healthy weight and no family history!

I hope it doesnt always come back! I was diagnosed at 9 wks with my DD and on insulin from 11 wks until I delivered at 35+6.

Hi Sarah, I remember you from last year as we were due at about the same time. I'll let you know about GD in pregnancy number 2 after I have a 16 week glucose tolerance test a week on Monday. My obstetrician said there is a 50% chance the second time around but I'm not hopeful! I was diagnosed at 28 weeks last time and the NICE guidelines say test at 16-18 weeks in consecutive pregnancies after one with GD. If negative, they test again at 28 weeks.
