Did I get a false positive?

So about an hour ago I decided to take a pregnancy test. I've been having the symptoms & I just felt like I should take one. For this test, if the results are positive then one line should show up. If it's a negative then it should be completely blank. And of course, the control line should show up too. Well, the control line showed up just like it should but the entire result window turned blue instead of just a line. Within the first 20 seconds. I'm...confused, to say the least. Any opinions?

It sounds like that was a defective test. I would suggest taking another one. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

That's kinda what I thought. Although I have read that even if it was defective it wouldn't have turned blue without the HCG hormone in my urine. Is this true?

Don't buy blue dye they do that a lot get the pink dye ones

Boyfriend brought home a First Response (pink dye) & I got a BFN. I am going to take one first thing in the morning though. Just to be sure.
