did ur waters 'gush' or 'trickle'?

Mine gushed, but I was at 9cm dilated when they finally broke.

I had a slow, premature leak I didn't know about till they examined and swabbed me - but when they went properly at 8cm dilated it was the movie style pop and woosh jobbie.

mine trickled at first then it gushed..i pretty much flooded until i had him two days later. Bath towel between my legs..the works.

Mine gushed after an examination at 6cm and then another gush a couple of hours later. An uncontrolable gush and had to walk to the delivery room with a sheet wrapped around, like a nappy as it was also trickling! lol x

Mine trickled. And the midwife refused to believe me and sent me home. I leaked for 3 days and got really ill, putting me and my son at risk. I had three examinations before they realised and had to have an EMCS. we know our bodies, not everyone gushes and shouldn't always believe the professionals :( x

Mine gushed... Well Full on flooded really lol! Was nothing like I expected... Luckly I was at home at the time and not out and about as I would of been mortified hahaha :haha: I used the towel in between the legs aswel lol! The whole of my waters went though, when I got to hospital the midwife tried telling me that usual only ur front waters go? But my front and back waters had gone! I had none left!

Funny exp looking back now :haha::thumbup: x

trickled with my daughter, with my son it didnt do anything until they crochet hooked it :)

Mine gushed,. Tho I realised later that I think they had maybe been leaking before... I just thought it was runny discharge!

I continued to lose SO much water throughout labour, the midwives couldn't believe it lol constantly had to change the pad I was lying on! X

I got one gush when it first broke then it trickled for two days.

My waters had to be broken, it was one of the things i thought would happen and I would know that's it LO is ready to come out but I was about 7cm when the midwife said we will have to break your waters

Mine gushed. I'd been in the hospital already and wearing a big pad due to discharge, so it wasnt messy. I just stood there a minute and then asked my OH if he could please call a nurse. It felt so strange I didnt want to move!

Mine were broke by the doctor. It gushed ALOT and the whole time. I swear atleast 3 gallons came out if not more
Its the weirdest feeling ever. In your mind its like your peeing but you can't stop it or control it lol

I was in hospital being induced at 10 days over and my waters finally went when the midwife was checking me over to see if there was any progress. I was 4cm dilated and I guess her being 'inside and looking around' made them go! :haha: it was a gush really cos I just felt the 'flood' on my legs and then it trickled every time I got up off the bed.

Big gush! I went to the hospital to be induced and they broke before they could start. I thought I had peed myself initially, due to nervousness.

With my eldest they gushed (broke early due to an infection) and throughout labour they gushed, I did have a bit of an excess of fluid around him so maybe that's why (at the end I looked like I was pregnant with triplets but he was only a diddy one when he was born!). Middle two waters had to be broken they were getting distressed I was at 9cm and nothing was happening any further so they had to get out the crochet hook thingamajig (which really doesn't hurt btw). Youngest they didn't break my waters and he came out in the bag of waters fully intact when the midwives were out of the room, serves them right for not believing I was very close to the end, he was fine and the bag popped when they put him on me and I was very soggy. It was like giving birth to a cushion though, actually less painful and easier as he was inside a slippery bag so no scratches from fingernails etc. I think it's likely the same will happen again xx

when they broke? Xx

with my first child, My water broke before I even had contractions. So from this experience, It felt like someone was pouring liquid very slowly between my legs but it didn't last too long. I knew it was my water than pee because it just felt different (I guess because I was feeling it from a different area).

Netiher really, my waters were a thick meconium so it was a dark green gunge
