Just wondering what the difference is exactly- does NTNP mean you are not even looking for natural O signals? I'm not using opks or temping but basically just looking for signals from 10dpo and bding every 2nd day!! So am I more NTNP than TTC would you say??

I'd say the difference is intent.

NTNP means, in my book, that there's no prevention of pregnancy but that the couple is just having unprotected intercourse. If a baby occurs - it's just a happy side note.

TTC would mean that the couple is intentionally trying to time intercourse using all means possible to encourage fertility and conceive.

I'd but NTNP as a "hands-off" time where if it happens, it's great while TTC is a very focused intention to attempt to get pregnant each cycle.

i'd struggle having the TTC knowledge (knowing about mucas etc) to NTNP as I'D KNOW when I was fertile even if hubby didnt...

thats why i cant fully get my head around it as I believe most women would deep down KNOW when they were fertile...

or at least I know I would... Hubby would be oblivious :haha:

haha, I always think I'm TTC and hubby is NTNP :p haha
Cause I notice O signals (like cm) and I am temping (just cause I was gonna try it and get used to it for when we'd ttc again). Then as I realised I was close to O and we'd already dtd once, I thought I'd 'seduce' hubby again to get another chance in :p
And hubby is just going along and not really bothered what happens.... if it does happen he'd be really happy but if it doesn't then he'd be alright too! And I just really really want it ever since we had a happy little accident in October, which sadly ended in mc.

So I'd say NTNP is not keeping track of anything, like cm and cp and ovulation etc. And just letting it happen and being good/fine with whatever happens. (Possibly only testing if/when you're late for AF) and TTC is actively going for it, tracking all sorts (like mentioned before) and making sure you bd around O etc.
