Different Sensitivity On The Different IC Tests?

I got some IC's with my last order of OPK's. They are pink handled with HCG written all over the handle. I read earlier that they are not for early detection of pregnancy, and if AF isn't due then they are worthless. Anyone know anything about the different sensitivity on the various color IC's? I have seen plain pink handles, blue handles, and the ones that I have.

I have tons of pg symptoms, my chart is looking good, but I am only 8dpo. Is it even worth testing early with these? I planned on testing at 10dpo....but am I wasting my time? Should I go buy more sensitive tests?

Someone else may have a better answer than this, but i would *think* that in theory all tests (even though they're advertised as such, the fine print however reads otherwise) are NOT for Early Detection of Pregnancy. I was lead to believe the only difference between an HPT and a strip is the plastic, basically. It's the same reason digital tests aren't advertised as being able to test (up to 6 days early !!!) or whatever the other brands advertise. The studies have shown that very few women actually get a significant early detection, however what i found when doing research on what strips to buy was that the results were the same with strips as they were with plastic handled HPT's.

I ordered a different brand this time, but i have used the brand on amazon sold by wondfo (and at $5 for 25 it's a much better deal) and i read a TON of reviews. You're just as likely to get an early result on any brand, which is to say you're also just as unlikely to NOT get an early result :)

Girl, get a frer for tomorrow cause that chat is looking fiiiiiiiiiiiine!!!!

Gl !!!

Thanks hun :) I know they base all of the "studies" ect. on a typical 14 day LP as well, so I have to be careful with that because my LP is 11 days. I guess we will see what happens!

Hahahaha!! Thanks chick ;) I have to agree, it's not too shabby! I'm gonna see what my temp is tomorrow morning, and if still high I'm gonna go on a PT run, and get several different things! I would go tonight, but my DH is at work, and my 4 girls are here, and will be getting in the shower and getting ready for bed soon. They don't go to bed until 8:30, but it is quite an ordeal to get 4 kids ready, and in bed on time! LOL

FX though! I will test tomorrow regardless, then in the morning on the 13th!

Yep, that chart is looking like its going triphasic!! Hope to hear some good news!!
