Dirt under fingernails

I've recently stopped biting my nails, mostly because I'm a germaphobe and I've really thought about what's under them and its so gross. I've done this before over the years and whenever I let them grow, I always get dirt under them!! Like dirt you can see! And I end up several times a day scraping it out. I'm a clean person and I actually wash my hands a lot, as I said im a germaphobe. It seems like anyone I see with long pretty nails, theyre so clean and nice! Is this something everyone deals with or is there something wrong with me??

I have shortish nails and seem to collect dirt under mine Mostly from work,and normally paint or playdough or just outside dirt.It makes me feel horrible and I end up brushing under mine about 4 times a day to keep them clean x

What sickens me is when I see men with long fingernails and dirt underneath.

Agree with army wife! Men with long nails period lol. I use a nail brush
