Me and my boyfriend haven't actually dicussed names yet (he thinks doing anything baby-related before 12 weeks is too early!) but I am pretty certain on the names I want.
Just wondered if anybody has had any disagreements over names?
I really want Ella for a girl and Frankie for a boy and don't know what I'd do if he doesn't agree! I could probably let Frankie go but not Ella, I really want to call my little girl Ella!!!
If you have had disagreements what have you done to resolve them?

I think Ella is a beautiful name. It's the original name of Cinderella (before she was nicknamed after the ashes and cinders she sat by to keep warm). I know a family at church with two little girls named Ella and Zoe.

Fortunately for me, I'm a long-time name enthusiast with lists of names and favorites I've kept since I was a child. My husband isn't nearly as interested in names as I am, so he pretty much lets me pick.

I think you just have to hope that your bf likes them or that you can twist his name if he's not keen.
Of course, I think Ella is a lovely name!

Love Frankie (obviously :winkwink:) and Ella is gorgeous, i wanted it for my last daughter but it didnt go with our surname :nope:. xx

If you are in love with Ella, perhaps you could agree to name a girl, and he gets final say on a boy name? That way you get your Ella no matter what, and you would only have to push him a bit on the boys name =) It's not like he REALLY gets the final say, but if you tell him that you might be more likely to get Ella for sure =)

Talk to your BF about you choosing the girls first name he choosing the middle name.. Then if a boy he picks first name you choose middle name.. I mean, if you just start calling him franlie (and it's his middle name) whose to know??
