Hi, could anyone who has been through a divorce give me some advice please?I have been separated from my daughters father for 2 and a half years now and since recently finding out some disturbing information about him, I'm now desperate for a divorce. He currently sees our daughter about twice a week, only as my daughter asks to see him, he never asks to see her.He is not on the birth certificate and i was wondering how much access he will be entitled to if the divorce gets messy which i hope it wont.He has never looked after her on his own and i am not comfortable with her being alone with him.
Will we have to put in writing how often he will see her and how will it work if he demands overnight access?I don't feel he is responsible and i feel he isn't a good influence on our daughter.
I am just really worried that as we are getting a divorce, he may want more access and overnight stays just to show me he can, not because he wants to.
Thankyou

Sorry I don't know but didn't want to read and run.

:hugs:

I hope you get some helpful answers x

my ex did this he had no contact for 5 years then i got divorce papers sent to him and he started going for contact im still in court a year later fighting

My HV has told me that if they are not named on the BC they don't have their parental rights. So when it comes to solicitors he'd have to get his PR before he could go for access.
