As some of you know, I am off work as I have not been very well and suffering from a few things I wont bore you with again :nope:

So I just phoned my GP to make an appoitnment and the earliest they can see me is Wednesday night!!! They originally gave me Thursday and I asked for something sooner and got Wednesday at 5.55pm. Its a joke! Is there anything I can do to get seen sooner?? I am worried that I have some of the symptoms of OC and I dont wanna wait much longer to check everything is ok.

The NHS is such a let down sometimes!!

You could try phoning the MW or the maternity ward to see if they could fit you in to be checked for OC.

I'd call the midwife to see if she can arrange something - I know round here at least the midwives work alongside the doctors and when I've called my MW with something she wanted checked she made the docs appt for me. You could also say that you want an emergency appointment, as you need to be seen immediately.

Hope you get something sooner! xxx

You should at least be able to speak to a Dr before then, that's ridiculous. Unfortunately the government recently removed the rule that patients have a right to be seen by a GP within 48hrs so many practices are reverting back to book in advance only - it's rubbish. I would either ring the MW or Hospital or ring the practice and ask to speak to a Dr today as its urgent... once you have spoken to the Dr they can put you into their clinic if they need to see you. Whatever you do, don't wait until Wednesday...

Ive just had the tests for OC and waited 2 weeks as they wanted to see if the symptoms persisted before doing the blood tests

if ur very concerned go down the hospital, thats what i do wen i cant get an appointment with my mw x goodluck x

Thanks girls!

Cant get hold of my MW but I am off to hospital later today for ante natal class so should be able to speak to someone then shouldnt I?

Boo hoo for me!!!

yeh they shud no whats going on, if ur at all worried they will check u out, if not ur already at the hospital so ask to speak to someone. i can never get hold of my midwife either shes always off, i get a new midwife everytime i go to the doctors

When you called did you ask for an urgent appt? Just mention you are pregant and the receptionist will normally shit herself and book you in straight away. Might be a 'sit n wait' job though.
