My son is 1 week old. He feeds fine during the day, will take 3 onces every 3-4 hours... but at night, he doesnt seem to wake for a feed. Should i wake him? or let him sleep?

Does he sleep through the entire night already?!x

Id leave him to sleep, if he was hungry surely hed wake up?X

If he was older, I would def say leave him. At 1wk though I would prob wake him at least every 4 hrs to feed.

id wake him at this age but as he gets older go ahead and leave him, right now i think hes a little to little. x

I wouldn't wake him up but that's IMO I let my little one tell me wn he is hungry xx

Is Shaun sleeping through the night already?
You are really supposed to feed them every 4 hours until they're a bit older. My doctor said sleeping through one 5 hour period was okay but no more than one, other than that you have to wake them up!

For the first few days after giving birth to my LO he was sleepy and the midwife said to wake him every 3-4, but definitely don't let him go any longer than 6. x

At a week old id feed after 4 hours even if baby dosent wake up. You dont want LO to loose too much weight.

Our baby was the same way. Our doctor told us to wake him every 3 hours for the first 14 days and if at that point he was back up to his birth weight, we could feed on demand through the night.

Lois, Ava is the same! I am letting her sleep as my midwife said its fine.
