Do the odds of success in IVF increase as you go through the treatment?

I am 3 days away from testing after my first IVF and I am wondering if because I managed to get as far as transfer with good embryos, are my chances increased?

I've been wondering, because there are so many stages to IVF do your odds of success rise after each bit - do they include abandoned cycles in their stats?

I am old so my chances are quite low but they were concerned I might not respond well and I did so wouldn't that make my odds go up?

It Really varies from clinic to clinic

but rule of thumb if you have got this far it's approx a 28% chance of success

My embryologist seemed to think that because the two unused Embryos got to Blastocyst (but they weren't frozen as there was a lot of fragmentation) that it was good news for the two they put in.

I'm no spring chicken at 37 but just managed to get pregnant with one frozen embroyo transfered this time round

offically my chance of success if you searched on the net was 3-7%

I don't know about Blastocyst's really as mine were 3 day transfers both times , but i'm sure your Embroyologist knows what he was saying when he said it was looking good ...

tanks, mine were day 3 transfers but they left the other two to observe and seemed to think it was good they made it to Blastocyst. Fingers crossed.
