Our pool is finally ready and DS will be going swimming for the first time. We don't have a lot of chemicals in the pool, but there's some. Do you ladies rinse off LO (or give LO a bath) after swimming? Or is it not really necessary? DS' skin has been breaking out lately, so not quite sure what the chlorine will do to it. Any advice would be great.

i would rinse. we rinse and wash after going to the local pools.

We rinse in the shower quickly and usually have a bath at night.

Nope. But it's our home pool and we have a salt water system, not chlorine.

I usually rinse.

If your son's skin is already breaking out, then I would probably rinse as well, just to be safe.

We're going to do a late day swim because it's been so hot here lately (way too humid to be outside during the day), so then we'll probably just put DS straight into the bath after his swim. Thanks ladies!

My lo has been in a pool all this week, and don't rinse or bathe right after. In fact, the chlorine has helped the heat rash she got before starting to go in.

We have a home pool (chlorine) and we bathe her after she is in it. We have big trees in the backyard by the pool and there are a lot of birds around and I worry a little bit about germs!
