Yes we do buy mainly organic now. As vegans we obviously eat a lot of fruit and veg, more than your average person, therefore it makes sense for that produce to be as safe as possible. With certain fruit and veg the difference in taste and quality between organic and non organic, is definitely noticeable. We buy all our fruit and veg from an organic box delivery service and because I blagged a 10% lifetime discount and their prices were very competitive to begin with, even in comparison to non-organic produce, it often works out cheapest. Our shopping bill is the same as always. In the UK though it's almost impossible to buy solely organic, unless you adapt your diet drastically because they just don't produce organic versions of some products over here. If I couldn't afford organic the next best thing would be basics or value range fruit and veg because from my research it seems that it tends to have been less intensively farmed as there is less demand for a perfect blemish free appearance.
