do you keep your tree lights on during the day?

We have them on a timer, so they are on from 4-11pm, and then 6am-7am while we are getting ready for work. They are off while we are gone for work during the day.

Ours stayed on almost all the time leading up to Christmas, they are LED so hardly use any energy and do not get hot. Our outdoor lights DH unplugged in the AM when he left for work and plugged back in when he came home, if he remembered otherwise they also ran all the time. Also LED, so not hot or very expensive to run.
