Do you know about FS?

i use FF to keep track of my cycle days too. I haven't recorded any temps on there though.

I have used tons of OPK test strips though. I've never even had a second line, let alone a positive OPK. My body doesn't produce LH hormone :(

the digital ovulation tests are a bit more sensitive. I never get a true positive with OPKs, I get a second line that's a bit darker than my normal line but I confirm with the digi one. Amazon do a subscribe and save option :haha: :haha: never thought that I would be buying that as part of my monthly supplies

hi, most GP's will not prescribe Clomid - i understand one of the reasons is if you have a blocked tube/s then take Clomid and do fall pregnant, the chance of an ectopic is very high.
I had the same experience as StephieB, referred 2nd week in Jan, first appointment in March, nothing much happened just a chat and referred for blood tests and an HSG. HSG was in April, then told 1 tube blocked and had my Lap/ Hysterscopy and laser ablation of endo July 19th. Next appointment is 28th August and am hoping to be given Clomid. We have previously been told that 3 months more trying after the lap and then we can go on the IVF list, though we have not been told how long the list is..... we are in North West London
Good luck

This has been pretty much my expierence too.....although you're a little further along than I am. I am currently waiting for my cycle to start so I can book my HSG.

I am going to Thornbury, in Sheffield for my HSG...I notice you are in Sheffield, did you go there? I am being sent there from Barnsley.

It's been quite slow, however really informative appointments & helpful advice has made this journey a little more bareable. My follow up is in October, and I will hopefully be coming away with my clomid!

Yay for getting closer to clomid, fingers crossed it'll do great things for you! AF arrived for my this morning, so onto my final clomid cycle :dohh:

I didn't go to Sheffield for my appointments as I have just moved back home after living down south for 2 years, we've just had our referral to Sheffield PCT sent off so I think our next appointment will be with Jessops Hospital, but I won't know until I get the letter. I've just been on the Thornbury site though and noticed they take NHS patients, so who knows, maybe I will be sent there

:flower:

Oh no, sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for the final cycle - come on Clomid!! Do your job!! Im really hoping clomid works for us because we aren't allowed and NHS IVF treatment due to OH already having two children. :( So we would have to depleat our savings if it came to IVF.

Oh, how have you found moving & changing your PCT? We're going to be moving in October (after our appointment hopefully!) so we will be moving to PCT in Shropshire. Im just really hoping that I get my prescription in October from Barnsley so that I dont have to wait for my referral to get the druggies!

My OH is going to Jessops for his SA, Thornbury i know does the HSG for Barnsley as they dont do them here. It looks like a very nice hospital though.

For the OP - I dont temp, and I have occasionally done OPK's but the GP & FS didn't bother about this. More than happy to start referrals and tests without me having to temp or OPK for a while.

Thanks timeforababy! I wasn't sure what was meant when people said PCT until now :)

I might invest in a digital or a CBFM if they put me on clomid. Is it CB digis you're using?

Yup, CB digis. The smiley faces are great. And I'm sure they are much more sensitive than the cheapie ones off ebay :)

StephieB - you said they asked you if you temp. I don't, do you think they'll send me away to do so if I tell them I don't

No not at all :hugs: I have only ever temped for a couple of cycle outs of the whole 30 months we've been TTC, and I stopped doing it as FF always put my ovulation a goo 4-5 days AFTER my +OPK, so either my BBT was faulty or I wasn't doing it right or what, but it caused me more stress than anything else so don't do it. Like has been mentioned, FS don't recommend temping anyway so you won't have any problems :flower:

A pain in the arse to put it bluntly :haha: we were like you, we moved MArch 31st and had our last FS appointment on March 29th where we got our prescription for 4 months Clomid, so luckily we had something to keep us going!

I would say register with your new GP ASAP when you get to shropshire, it takes 8 weeks for your medical records to get to them, and they can't refer you to a FS down there until they have them. Your old FS has to discharge you completely from their care so you can be referred to a new one, so unfortunately theres a little bit of limbo time, try to speak to your FS secretary or hospital and ask to have your fertility records or test etc...posted out to you so you can take them to the new GP surgery yourself. Although it doesn't speed the process up, it gives your GP an idea of whats going on, and my GP appreciated it :flower: (plus its always interesting to have a good nosey!)

Good luck!!
