Do you stop to burp through the feed? Also Q about Dr Brown Bottle!

Just wondering if any of you ladies stop half way through a feed to wind your baby? Or do you give your little ones the whole bottle then wind? My little girl gets very angry if we take her bottle away during a feed to wind...!

She's started getting a bit of colic also so we have moved from tommee tippee bottles over to dr browns today. It may sound like a silly Q but do you still wind your little ones after their feed when using these bottles? As today after using the Dr Browns bottle (and infacol prior to feed) she just didn't have any wind after her bottle, for a good half hour we were trying to wind her (but nothing) and she was content and then fell straight to sleep after the bottle and is still sleeping now despite not having any wind...! Is that OK? Or normal with these Dr Browns bottles?

Oh and also any tips for slight constipation as occasionally our little one will be a little bunged up for a couple of days.

Thanks ladies :flower:

i used to wind bella after each ounce as she would get so windy she would sick up a lot if i didn't. she's better now, but i usually wind her a couple of times during her feed. she used to get really angry, but she's chilled about it now.
we use dr browns bottles as well, but still wind bella, as sometimes she will still have a bit of wind.
xx

Arianna eats 4oz during each feeding and I burp her after each ounce cause she tends to spit up a lot.

I'll wind Hana about halfway through most times. If I don't, she'll often spit up a lot. But if I try to take the bottle out and she protests, I'll just wait until she's done. :)

Do the Dr Brown bottles prevent wind better than TT? I have TT bottles but my princess is so windy she hasn't slept for 2nights and keeps throwing up her feeds so gets hungry quickly and it's a vicious circle of feeding, winding and her being sick? I try and wind her half way through or everytime she comes off the bottle. Sometimes I change her, wind her then give her the rest if she wants it x

They have made my LO so much more content after a feed! She's not nearly as windy. We burp half way through and then at the end of a feed. When using TT I could hear the wind in her tummy gurgling about but not with Dr Browns which is great. They're supposed to help with reflux also but my LO isn't particularly sicky, only now and again so couldn't say if they help with that. I do always change her before a feed rather than after as moving her around changing her will make her sick. From my experience these last 2 days I have a much happier baby who isn't in pain with wind anymore all thanks to the Dr Brown bottles! Give them a try :)

Dr browns are a life saver it was the only thing that helped my LO when she had colic, after being on dr browns for a week I also took her off infacol as that made her wind worse.
I always burp but only once she's finished her 6oz as she gets very upset if I interupt her feeding lol!
She burps brillianty now and has been like this for a few months now.
Dr browns are a god send!!

I used to have to wind Ava every ounce, but now she is on comfort foumla I only really have to do it twice through the feed.

I use the Dr Brown bottles and I have found that my LO isn't as windy. I wind her half way through and at the end but I dont worry if she doesnt burp as she seems content. Sometimes after about 10 mins of lying down she gets a bit cranky, I just wind her then and she is fine. I definitely think that the Dr Brown bottles work for collicky babies, they're worth the extra money.
