Just wondering your thoughts on this as I had a bit of a run in with a 'friend' today.....
Basically, while I was holding LO, she went to grab my glasses from my face. I told her 'No' in a sternish voice (ok, I didn't sound particularly mean, but my tone was lower than usual!) and went to carry on my conversation with my friend.
However, my friend (who, by the way doesn't have any children) told me that at 8months, my LO was too young to understand 'No', and that I was being very harsh! She said when she has children she wouldn't use the word 'No' "in that way"
In my opinion, LO needs to know that she can't just grab peoples glasses off their face, and as she's too young for an explaination, I think the word 'No' is ideal!
Any thoughts? Am I a complete meany?!?!
