Maybe it's just me, but I cant get my head around this.
Someone I know has a 6 year old girl and a 5 months old baby. She has already put their presents under the tree, and their filled stockings under the tree. She says she's done it becasue she hasn't got enough space to store them (although IMO she has). Won't her daughter wonder how come they are there already? If that was me as a kid I would be so tempted to open them, and it wouldnt make Christmas morning so special when you see all the presents been left by Santa.

I think that is strange,
all my kids presents are hid away until christmas eve then when the kids are in bed I will bring them all out, I thought thats what everyone done

That's really strange. Surely the 6 year old knows that santa brings presents on christmas eve? Wonder how she explains that one

we use to have gifts from parents put under the tree then on christmas eve all santa gifts were put under the tree when we were sleeping to open the next morning

don't get me wrong sophie-lou and Dylan have presents under the tree from family and friends, plus there's always one for them from me and their daddy, but santa's presents are a big no no, maybe if they only had the yonger baby they could get away with it but surely not with the 6 year old xx

we only have presents from friends etc under the tree until xmas eve then me and oh put them under there when there asleep surely her children must think santas not real then if there under there i love my boys faces xmas morning its what its all about them looking surprised and so excited im already feeling sad that in the next few years my 9 yr old wont believe in him soon :(

Thats what I thought! We used to have pressies form family under the tree already but not from Santa. Glad it's not just me that thought it seemed strange.

Yeah that is definitely weird! At the minute we have a heap of presents on the bottom steps of the staircase, but Tegan doesn't really *get* the santa thing yet.

They'll miss out on that moment when she runs downstairs & shouts 'he's been, he's been' Very strange!!

Not everyone teaches their children that Santa is real! I don't and actually I've been tempted to fill up their stockings already, although I wouldn't leave them around in plain sight simply because little fingers would fiddle. I guess it would spoil the surprise a bit too.

I have presents under our tree already for family from family and friends etc and also have a big box filled with LO's santa presents sitting in the living room until I clear some space in my bedroom and half my bedroom filled with the bigger one's mainly due to lack of space but he's too young to understand or know! lol As he gets older they'll all be hidden lol

I guess it would depend on if she's planning on having her children believe in Santa or not. If she's not than I can see why she'd have them under the tree already, though I wouldn't trust Hannah with them  if she is than I do agree it's a bit of an odd way to do it and am not sure how she'd explain it to them.....

That is so weird, I have a 12 year old that doesnt believe in Santa anymore but I dont even put his gifts under the tree, I wait until he is in bed on Christmas Eve than bring them all down. I love the look of surprise on his face. Dec is just getting the whole Santa thing this year and I know if I was to put his presents under the tree there would be alot of questions.

Oh i think its a bit mean to not let your children believe in santa for a few years. Makes it so much more magical :)

I had ours under the tree because I dont have storage but I had a mouse run out from underneath it so I put them away in the girls wardrobe. They have other stuff that I have from Santa and their stockings are already filled but again they have stuff from santa which isnt at mine its at my mums as we spend xmas there!
I told them Santa has been told to deliver the presents to Nannys house but they are still too young to understand. We always talk about Santa even me and OH lol

I do find it abit strange. I can't put any presents under the tree because i know my kids, esp my 2 year old, would be unwrapping them! lol

Yep I think that's weird. All the Santa presents just appearing in the morning is half the fun:flower:

Mollie is 11 and i still wont put the pressies under the tree till both her and Bow are asleep in bed.

V xxxx

I put a few under the tree but the majority comes down after they are asleep on Christmas Eve. I think it's a beautiful moment when they wake up and see all the presents. :cloud9:
