or is it just me??
i dont know if its just my mind working over time but no matter what doctors or midwives tell me i always second guess them and then often worry my self about it!!
on my 25 week m/w app i saw a different MW as mine was on holiday, she felt my tummy and told me his head was down and seems he might come early, i was then thinking a. its totally normal for his head to be down shes just making a fuss of it or b. surely his head isnt down yet..
Then at my 28 week my MW was there and she had a feel, she then said his head is engaged which is amazing and totally normal, so yes the MW before was just exaggerating saying that this means he might come early.
my 31 week app today and again a different MW, she has had a feel and said hes upside down and back to front- breech, she said its okay as there's still lots of time yet but i cant help think is she sure he is breech? i know im no expert and i cant tell a hand from a foot to a elbow when baby kicks but i duna i always just think hmm, maybe shes wrong, its like i need to be told 2ce!
shes also told me that im measuring a week and half over what i should be, but yet 2 mins before she said i have quite a small bump :S

i think this started when i had cystitis, i told MW she did a urine sample and found nothing, it then faded and came back and i had a nurse app, so mentioned it to her whilst i was there, she did a urine sample and found all sorts of bacteria in there, she said this is bcos it hasnt been picked up before, even though my MW did a sample a week or 2 before whilst i felt i was suffering and she found nothing...
so yeah maybe this is why i second guess them or need a second opinion, but sometimes it has me over thinking...

Hi BabyMamma93, I think it's better to second guess information rather than to accept it blindly (while still respecting their experience). I try to always take in information with a grain of salt. Professionals are able to make mistakes too, after all. I think it's best to just work with your best judgement and ask for clarification or a second opinion if it feels right!

Yes I am terrible for doing this!

At 13 weeks I was told my placenta was low and I had an accessory lobe, I discovered on my own that this puts me at risk for vasa praevia. At my 20 week scan my placenta had moved up and no lobe could be found but I was told at 13 weeks that lobes do not go away, if it is there it is there to stay.

So I have decided to go for a private scan next week to rule out vasa praevia once and for all and also to check on that vanishing lobe!

I think I read too much

Yes. They won't listen to me when I tell them when I ovulated. I told them repeatedly I have short cycles (24/25 days) and the typical EDD based on LMP won't work with me. So now they keep telling me that I have a GIANT baby. :dohh: I tell them, no....he's right on schedule, maybe a 2/3 days ahead based on my O date. Ugh...

And when I was continuing to bleed and they said the subchorionic hemorrhage healed, I told them it was impossible. Well, WEEKS later the specialist clearing saw the hemorrhage AND placenta previa. :growlmad: Both are cleared up now though.

If/when you feel something isn't right, keep bringing it up. You know your body best. :hugs:

I do because I feel like I don't get any info at all because I am low risk. Im 33 weeks have no clue what position the baby is in or anything.

Least im not alone then, i just also feel sometimes they keep you in the quiet and you don't actually realise until after your appointment when you've gone home, i thought it was just me over reacting and thinking i know best :)
