Does anyone else have a spare room full of junk to tackle?

Yes! Well I call it a junk room, my OH calls it his recording studio!

nope. but i currently have OH clearing out his whilst i sit on my ass
when we moved he put all his spare stuff in the spare room and now he's sulking because it's not his junk room anymore..:haha:

Yes, and we're supposed to convert it to the babies room :(. Lol

Our smaller bedroom is a "play room" and the kids have destroyed it despite hardly been in there!! So I'm chucking it all in the loft, out of sight out of mind lol. I'm gonna be putting my birth pool in there, I've done the whole nursey thing twice and seen as it won't be in there for at least 6 month though I might as well just wait and can do it up in pink or blue after it's born (team yellow)

I wish we had a spare room! Instead, I'll be trying to rearrange my son's stuff so he and the baby can share a room. I regularly declutter, but will have to do another round in every room to eke out enough space for baby things throughout the house.

Yes! We moved in September and didn't have time to sort and chuck before moving so it all came with us

Nesting has kicked in badly for me and it's driving me nuts! I forced DH to help me sort out the garage last weekend and took loads to the dump and I've just today finished shredding 3 years of old paperwork. I feel sooo much better lol!

Next on the list is the spare room that has boxes of old clothes that need sorting and storing properly/chucking/donating and then sorting out cupboards that have had random things stuffed into them as we have no idea where lots of things are. At the moment the idea of clutter and junk that we don't need makes me twitchy and I'm desperate to get rid of as much as possible!

I actually have a whole house full of junk: dust, broken tiles and falling to pieces kitchen units (my DH and FIL are pulling it all to pieces as we speak). It needs new tiles, windows, floors, doors, kitchen, bathrooms... we got it at a bargain but needs doing completely but will be incredible when ready. Then it needs decorating, nursery needs doing, crap we have hoarded need throwing away too, and then we have to move...Very stressful though as I sit here with my already biggish twin bump, I quite envy you your spare room full of junk (Have I made you feel better now thinking: "I'm glad I'm not her")

This makes me feel so much better! We did a massive clean out over Easter but I still have boxes and boxes of stuff I don't know what to do with like all my old uni stuff! The baby furniture is Mai Lu in and we've got less work to do than we did but argggg! It's painful!

The biggest worry i have now is where am I going to put my future junk (and the remaining junk) now I have no junk room?!

This is exactly why I have been going nuts on organizing! :haha:

My husband just shakes his head but I am like, "everything needs a home"....

I do believe we will end up with a storage unit, especially when we put this house on the market so it does not seem "cluttered".

I might need to get a 2nd shed!

A storage unit isnt a bad idea for when you are selling, then you wont be stressing about it everytime someone comes to check out the house too
