i think this is right, im not on 40,000 a year but were ok to go out and buy a nice pram, to me the 400 i wont to spend is a number i want to stick too because this is wha we can afford and we wont struggle after spending it, personally going up to 800 just isnt a option for us, but i've just seen a quinny buzz for 445 lol so maybe not
As long as your happy and your babies happy, and like someone else said not second hand car seat (cos of accidents etc) who really cares!!
ooo and dont forget us lucky ladies get 190 to buy nice things for our babies![]()
I don't think anyone is getting heated hunpeople just don't always agree with each other.

OOOOH mothercare have a sale on you can buy it for £300 hun & babies r us do a package for £494. xx
Blah - Did you buy the lay down bit , I think its called the Dreami? or just the buggy itself ..I really like the silvercross 3D at the moment , I tested one today but I would have to buy another buggy 6 months later so im not sure if that would be a good idea..
I have the Silver Cross Freeway, and IMO it's a lot better than the 3D. Not sure if you've looked at it though.

Yeah Im liking the freeway, just looked now it looks quite similar did you have to buy another pram when baby got older?
I have got myself the silver cross sleepover, I know so early, but it was one that both DH and I agreed on, and I liked the big carrycot for when tiny, and it seems really sturdy and easy to push (in the shop) , I managed to get it on Ebay for £250, and it is emaculate. Our budget realistically would have been £400 tops, even if I get the car seat (which I am not sure about yet), I have still come under. I would not have been able to justify spending almost £200 more than the freeway on essentially a moses basket, it is mind boggling...
I can't tell the difference!
I just went on the silver cross website and I can't tell the difference between the sleepover and the freeway!
Is it because it can be used with the stand as moses basket? (you can do the with the freeway too is you buy the stand seperately)
BTW, I don't know if you saw the ventura car seat in the store, but it is great. It gets brilliant reviews for the baby's seating position, even from birth. Plus it clicks onto the base really easily too  And it is supposed to be from birth -> 12 months (obviously that would depend on the length of the baby's legs though).
The sleepover has the carrycot lining and mattress and moses basket stand, but yeah, they are essentially the same.
I'm not sure about the car seat as one of the reasons I opted for the sleepover is because of the cot, I cringe when suspecting that babies have been in their car seats for hours (just my own opinion, not one set out to cause a debate), and am not sure whether I will justify the use of the 'travel system' however, have not done that much searching for the reviews tbh and I was impressed with the size of it when I was able to see it from where we got the pram, in the shops it always has the hood and foot muff on and looks tiny... am leaving the car seat shopping for a little while longer!!![]()
hi girls
sorry for being silly but what pram have you got the linear freeway or the sleepover ? The sleepover is the more expensive one isnt it ? how much did you pay for it ? thanks sorry for all the questions xx

Nope, the freeway will last until they are out of prams altogetherIt's a great pram and goes into stroller mode for when they are older.
The 3D doesn't actually last as long, and most review sites say by 1 year old the babies have outgrown it.
The 3D is also apparently harder to control with two handles and doesn't feel as sturdy.

OOOOh ok, sorry to be a pain but do you have a link to the one you have got e.t.c As, I think I was looking at the wrong one...I just want one that can convert into stroller too
I wish I had spent £800 on a bugaboo to be begin with. I spent £500 on a Quinny and I hate it and Im now having to sell it and buy a bugaboo.
I dont think £600-£800 is too steep because prams in that price range are loads better than the cheaper ones. People dont buy them to show off they buy them more for practical reasons.
