I need to get this baby moving now my contractions are so irregular and not strong enough! Anyone got any advice on how to give them a boost?

Walk walk walk, can you get somewhere to walk on sand?

Any other suggestions ladies? I am going to go for a walk shortly but i could do with some other ideas!! Currently bouncing on my ball.

My contractions are roughly every 7-8 minutes and only 20-25 seconds now. they started about 12 hours ago and are slightly stronger and longer than they were, but not much progress - having said that i have been trying to sleep on and off for most of the time as it was night so i doubt lying down helped move things forwards!!

relax and stop worrying about it.

Stress is the worst thing for labour. You need to get as much oxytocin flowing as possible so have walks and bounce on ball but keep eating, drinking napping and do things like have a warm bath, get someone to give you a massage, have a cuddle with your OH/mum what ever.

You need to get all calm and fuzzy and relaxed, put on your fave music of film.

You baby will arrive when they are readu so dont try and push it too hard or yourself.

take a long brisk walk. I walked and walked and walked in the last couple weeks as I was in early labor for about 3 weeks.

Have you tried sitting on a birthing ball or performing nipple stimulation? I agree with Chuck... definitely relax. :D

If you've tried walking and bouncing, try nipple stimulation, plus going somewhere dark and quiet by yourself and just relaxing.

Take, your mind off it it! Prep a roast dinner, go for a walk, enjoy eating it when you get back, have bat and smuggle up on the sofa.

Chances are as soon as you sit down to enjoy your dinner things will pick up ... Sod's law!

From my first contraction to dd out was only 2 hours but I just kept active walking up and down stairs do squats lol and if you do lie down lie down on your left it helps lower baby. Good luck. X
