I had one last Thursday, first once since being pregnant with DD.

It was a particularly bad one, I couldn't see for half an hour, plus pins and needles in one side of my body, also I felt totally confused ad unable to function for a couple of hours (ie not able to spell properly, couldn't think of the right words)

Anyway, as of today (Sunday evening) I'm still feeling sickly  I haven't actually been sick, and no diahreah, also I've been eating fine so don't think it's a bug? I feel as though ive been knocked for six, so tired! :(

Is it normal to feel like this? Last time I felt this nauseated I was pregnant with DD, I'm taking the pill and period not due for another week/ 10 days?

Hoping someone can help?? :flower:

I suffer terribly with chronic/tension/migraine headaches.

A bad one usually ends up with me feeling dizzy, unable to see properly or speak, lack of concentration and the inability to speak correctly, nausea and sometimes fainting.

For me, the migraines are secondary to the chronic and tension headaches. If I can 'deal' with them quick enough then the migraines don't always come, thankfully. The unfortunate thing is, I get one or the other every day or so.

What you're describing sounds pretty normal for a migraine unfortunately. Hope you feel better soon. X

I get occular migraines. Nothing really works for them so thankfully I don't get them too often.

Hope you feel better soon. :hugs:

I used to get them all the time and when pregnant with my youngest I had one practically every week; thankfully though I've had only one since then and that was a few weeks back xx

i get migraines regularly that make me dizzy, throw up, lose vision and they have lasted several days. the only thing that sooth mine is smelling Rosemary essential oil. in a cup of hot water, burner or straight out of the bottle lol or strangely , lemsip. i've tried every over the counter painkiller, some prescribed and the combination of 2types of recommended painkillers at once and none have worked, yet lemsip helps, must be an ingredient other than the paracetamol, (they are like smarties to me and have never helped with any kind of pain)

My mum can suffer from migraines and what you've described is exactly how she is when she does get one. She is normally wiped out for a good few days after the migraine has actually gone.

Not sure if you know what triggers yours but my mum's are triggered by cheese, coffee and chocolate mainly. She totally controls the migraines through her diet and the last time she had one was years ago. You can get tablets that stop the migraine coming out totally if you catch it at the right time. They are called Migraleave i think.

I do,mine dont sound as bad as yours though.I normally know Im getting one as I start to feel confuse and as if im 'not there',then it starts and it usually takes 2 ibuprofen,2 paracetamol( after 2 hours) then 2 more ibuprofen before it starts to go,sometimes it lasts overnight and I wake up with it.
I get tension related ones and also period related so at least once a week.

mine sound exactly like yours i haven't had one for a while now *touch wood* but i still feel the effects for at least 3 days after!

i have codeine from the dr for mine and they seem to help them not last as long! x

I get severe migraines from time to time, normally 2-3 a month. Mine always start with fuzzy vision which eventually develops into more or less no vision at all. I get a lot of facial numbness and confusion too. The pain in my head always feels like it's moving and it is the worst pain I have ever experienced. I can't eat or drink anything or take any medication because I vomit a lot whilst I have a migraine.

I've had Sumatriptan to try and stop the migraines developing but they don't work at all for me.

I get these too and I can hardly find anyone who has heard of them, let alone a fellow sufferer.

I get migranes pretty much every time I have my period...hormonal! I had a really bad one a couple of months ago and that left me wiped out for a couple of days after sick and hangover type feelings. If I catch it early and take soluble solpadeine max before it properly turns into a migraine I'm usually ok but once it hit me it gets nasty.

I've only ever had 2 migraines and they were so bad. The second was the worse. The first one I just vomited alot, had fuzzy vision and just had to stay in bed til it passed. The second I couldn't even speak the pain was so bad, so I just sat in the lounge in a dark room and only time I moved was to open my mouth to vomit.
The other week I got a real bad headache and my vision went fuzzy, and I felt sick, luckily I managed to shift it before it developed into a migraine,.
