Hello, so i have already had a gender scan and a 12 and 20 weeks scan but at the weekend i wasnt feeling much movement and decided to book a 4d scan (i did consult my midwife about this and baby is now mega active again)
Anyway in a haste i booked this scan and it is £89 includes a dvd and acd of photos aswell as printed ones. is it worth it? I didnt pay a deposit so think i could cancel as were a bit skint but if its really good i think we will go ahead.

Thanks

I had a 4d at 20 weeks and it was amazing, could not believe how great the images were and I'm so glad we did it. Paid about the same as you have said. Makes nhs scans almost look pointless!

We tried with our first and she wouldn't cooperate. We will be trying on the 23rd with this LO. I have seen some amazing 3d/4d photos so I'm really crossing my fingers that she will cooperate. If not its nice to get another opportunity to see her even if it is one I had to pay for :)

I saw LO at 10 weeks 20 weeks and the 3d is schedule at 30weeks

We got a 4d scan done at 31+1 (OH bought it as an early mothers day present for me!), I think he paid quite a bit more than what you have quoted so yours is a good deal.

I felt it was well worth it! I got really quite down after our NHS 20wk scan where our little one just laid in one position the whole time (facing my back!) so we couldn't see much of anything other than the back of him. She told us he was a boy but I just couldn't get rid of a niggling feeling that he did not move so how could she tell?! Plus all I wanted was a profile shot of him! Anyway at our 4D scan I got to see his chubby little face and it was confirmed that he is definitely a boy! I went out the next day and bought my first blue item of clothing! I feel that it has really helped me bond with him now before his arrival.

All that being said... make sure it is something you really want, before paying out that money, as you said you are a bit skint... as you could spend that on something you need now/will need for your little one when they arrive.

If you get it done, please post us a couple of your pics sweetie! Big hugs! xxx

We did the 4d scan at about 27 or so weeks and it was amazing. If you get it I highly recommend you get the dvd of the video rather than just still pictures. We were in awe of seeing her little face and all her movements. She yawns , sticks her tongue out, puts her fingers in her mouth etc. my family has watched it a million times i think by now lol. Now when I feel her move i picture her doing all these things, and it makes it so much more real to me

We did it :) It was amazing seeing our little girl! We paid $185 and got printed pics, a DVD and a CD with all the pics. Definitely worth it!

i did it by accident at a baby show they had a special for $30 ....

got the nicest pics of my little cookie monster :)

this is him smiling ...

def worth it :)

I totally recommend it!! We have had 3 of them privately && had one at the doc today and will have another April 29th (the 2 at the doc are growth scans because of GD) But we're in the US so the price is a little different. We paid $79 for the first one which included pics and a CD of all the pics they took. We paid $60 for the second, we had a 1/2 off voucher which made it $40 but i added a DVD for $20 and got pictures, a CD of all of the pics plus the DVD of the whole session. And the third was free, we won a monthly contest that the place we use has. So it was probably alot cheaper than most places. But it definitely helps with bonding IMO. Like a PP said, when I feel him move now I can picture what he actually looks like. And we've been able to see him grow which is amazing in itself :)

Thanks! I will go ahead and do it, imquite excited for it now :) seems worth the money from the comments

We had one at 16 weeks to find out the gender early and another at 26 weeks for face shots.... My husband and I both loved it, got a DVD and the pictures... I think it's definitely a luxury but if u can afford it I'd recommend it to anyone!!!

Our doctor has signs up everywhere with the "rates" for having 4D done but he switches back and forth now that the baby is bigger. He claims it is to check for "facial abnomalities" but I think it is just because he can! :haha: I LOVE seeing my little boys face. :cloud9: it is the most amazing little face ever. My husband was totally mesmerized last time as well.

Im booked for a 4D scan this Saturday - I will be 30 weeks exactly - SO excited!!!!! :happydance::happydance::happydance::haha:

Enjoy it!

I'm on my third and not had a 3d/4d scan. I don't really feel like I've missed anything, I quite like waiting till they are here to see what they look like :)

In my opibion, very worth it! My mom acrually paid 175 because she wanted to see him so bad.
Lol
It was so worth it though, my lo was beibg a punk! He kept hiding like he knew that he was veing watched lol! He was not having them cameras!!

Just an update i went for my scan today :) but he was covering his face with his arm so i couldnt see him :-( i was there 40 mins and went to the toilet, had a drink and jumped but nothing worked. i seen a very slight 5 second peek at his face and got a picture but it looked to me like possible cleft lip. i could be totally wrong and dont no how to upload pics on here. We are booked in again for free but not until the 18th, hope he isnt camera shy then!!

I had a 4d scan at 30weeks, it cost £150 and it was the best £150 I've ever spent, it was amazing. Well worth it, I got to see my beautiful girls little face, and it's so detailed!
from the start to the end of the scan it was recorded and I got that on DVD, about 45 mins and then I got a memory stick with over 40 different clear images of her on it, (some smiling, frowning, sucking her thumb etc.) and 10 black and white scan pictures of close up pictures of her face. It was beautiful!
I'd recommend a 4d scan to any pregnant mother, so worth the money!

Although, I do know that what you get differs from hospitals, but I really would recomend it, it was brilliant! And I can't wait to show my daughter when she's older <3

I think they look alike! That is so cool!!

This is my little Ari Belle at 26 weeks, she was lounging around with her hands behind her head! It was the coolest thing to see, I would definitely reccomend getting 3D/4D!
