Had some real issues with my son. First he was constipated so we put him onto Comfort milk and it worked. But he's always really unsettled, especially when laying flat. I had a few nights in a row of being up with him from 3am which almost killed me as I can't really sleep when he sleeps as I also have a 17 month old. So I took him to the doctors and she prescribed Colief. Gave that to him and the results were amazing. He was still getting a bit unsettled when laying flat but went from almost constant night wakings to sleeping through from 11pm until 5am. Now, we've gone backwards again. Last night, he was really unsettled from 1am. Fed him at 3am and he wouldn't settle for a good couple of hours then he finally went off.
I went off to do some xmas shopping on my own today and my mum had my boys and she said she thinks he's constipated. She said he's really been straining to go (which I've noticed since yesterday) and when he does go, he only manages a tiny little nugget. He goes really red when he tries to go as well.
So can Colief cause constipation? I'm assuming this may be why he's unsettled again. Feel like I'm going round in circles. If it's not constipation, he's unsettled for what I can only imagine is reflux/heartburn.
