Does it matter if the test line is really thin?

This is probably a silly question, but it'd really help if someone could put my mind at ease. I got my first clear positive test result about a week ago now, which was the day after my period was due so I guess about 15dpo - after that I tested more or less every day for five days just to see if the line was still there and hopefully getting darker. On Saturday morning after five positive tests I told myself I was going to do the very last one and then stop it and accept I was pregnant, heh... so I did, and the test line came up very quickly, very clear and bright pink, but was noticeably thinner than the control line. Does that matter? Is it a bad sign or just a quirk of the particular test I used? I'm paranoid that it could mean something to do with my hcg levels dropping, but wouldn't that lead to a fainter line rather than a dark but narrow one? Can anyone just tell me to calm down and stop worrying about this - or should I be worrying?

I do have a picture which I can post if it helps, but unfortunately it's sort of blurry and the test line looks much thicker on the photo than it did in real life (you can see the colour very well though).

Anyway, sorry for probably being ridiculous but it'd really help if I could stop worrying about this!

Im sure its fine hun. It was prob just the test because a line does not get thicker/narrower as hcg changes.

you shud test with the same brand as some arent as strong as others x

It was the same brand as previously, that's what got me worried! But like I said, the line was thinner, not lighter, so that seems weird...

I've attached a picture, but it really doesn't show it very well. IRL the test line sort of had a very narrow band of dark pink along the edge where the urine hits the test strip, the rest of the test strip was a much lighter pink. This does show how bright the colour was though.

more than ightly when there made the test, the antibody strip in the test was made thinner to the other tests you have previously used.

Aslong as the test line is nice and dark you have absolutely nothing to worry about!... go and get a digital, have the words spelt out to you and stop testing (or otherwise you will drive yourself crazy x

Think I've already driven myself crazy! I know it is a positive - just panicking about levels dropping and things because it looked different from the others but hopefully you're right about it just being the actual strip being narrower - I'll try to stop obsessing!

Thats a perfect BFP!! I did that test and mine looked the same Im 7 weeks now x

First I'd get a digital and use that.
Second I'd stop peeing on sticks altogether.
Thirdly I'd request a blood test and then have a repeat test 2 days later to see that the levels are rising like they need to be.

I personally think the lines look fantastic but if you've ever had a miscarriage, then I understand the nervous feeling that's always there for awhile. CONGRATS!
