Does my bump look larger than expected to you?

I've had about a dozen people ask me if I'm sure there's just one in there when I tell them how far I am. It's really starting to upset me and make me paranoid.

Does anyone else look like me at 19 and a half weeks with their first?

Dont worry, thats just something people tend to say. A lady at my work hadn’t seen me for awhile. I showed her my tummy and said 'theres no denying the bump now!' She said “wow are you sure its not twins?” Just a off the top of their head reaction. I also find it annoying when people think your baby is going to be big, because they think your tummy is big. My hubby and I were both 6lb babies, but I have friends convinced “shes going to be huge” because they know ppl who didn’t have a bump until 7 Months. Talk about annoying. Ugh….

NO!!! You look gorgeous, don't listen to them. I had someone come up to me the other day and go 'omg you're massive!!' yeah cheers for that.... I really felt like smacking her in the chops. I get it all the time now... I think it's inappropriate, you wouldn't go up to someone you thought was fat and say the same thing or someone that you deemed ugly and go 'omg aren't you ugly!'

Just try and ignore it hun, I think you have a lovely bump and I for one have bump envy

I do have twins in there and I'm still small. Some people just carry it more in front than others. Mine still like hiding out down low, so think that's why I don't show as much.

It all depends on how long your body is, where you placenta is located and how baby likes laying! You look perfect for how many weeks you are. I'm jealous, this is my fourth and I look about 7 months already! lol x

I am popping over from first tri...making the transition into 2nd! I think you look great! I am only (almost) 13 weeks and I have had the twins comment and the "Are you sure you aren't further along" comment and it bugged me at first but whatever, the people making these comments have never been pregnant before and I have been seriously bloated since like 8 weeks. I am loving my beginning bump! As long as you feel good, do not let others get ya down! I am jealous of your bump!!

this is mine at 18 weeks... I'm 20 weeks now and my bump's only a tiny bit bigger. I look about the same as you with clothes on and without my bump looks giant to me! haha . A couple people have asked me about me having twins or not,... thankfully I just got my 20w scan and there's only one in there but I can understand the frustration!

That's a lovely bump! I find people quite often just say stupid stuff, maybe first thing that pops into their head when trying to make conversation. Just ignore the crap!

OP - dont worry about what people say...sorry to tell you but the comments will only continue to get worse cause people are dumb.

I get " Are you sure you arent farther along?" and " are you sure there is only one in there?" ALL the time.. so annoying.
