I'm selective with the Disney stuff... I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate all this Disney princess tat that's infested the girls' clothing aisles (if mine is a girl I'm on an anti-pink crusade anyway - I'll conceed cerise and bright pink but baby pastel stuff is a no-no - whatever my mother is planning!) but I do have to admit I love Winnie the Pooh (in both the AA Milne and Disney varieties) especially Tigger so there will be something Tigger-esque creeping in there come what may.
It may be inevitable that I have a little girl who rolls into nursery, immediately finds the princess dress and wears it all session - but it's sure as heck not coming from me!
Disclaimer - I'm a primary teacher and like many of us I get really naffed off with classes of kids who think the only version of fairy tales is the flipping Disney version - it makes teaching traditional tales topics in early years an utter nightmare!
I don't plan to go for a themed nursery anyway - I want something plain on the walls that won't be out-grown quickly, and just to change accessories/furniture as baby grows - and refuse to go into the blue or pink only route anyway.
