you hear a song on the radio/out and about and it really catches on. But when it comes to wanting to listen to it again, you can't, for the life of you, remember what ANY of the lyrics were!

it annoys me when i think i recognise who's singing it, then find out its by one of my fave artists and i feel stupid for not knowing

LOL yeah that happens to me too!

My phone has an amazing app on it where if you hear a song playing and can't find out who it is, you turn on this app and it records a bit of the song then looks up on its web based database thingy and tells you who it's by, what it's called and everything else about the song! It's worked on stuff I thought was way obscure... OH and me were farting about with it one evening and it recognised stuff from our music collection that's really not well known at all!
It's brilliant!!

i hate that! happens to me all the time too. when i hear it im like right ill def remember those lyrics coz i really like it, them bam i cant even remember the tune when i want to look it up!
